Replacing SBS 2003 Premium with individual Server 2012 servers

I've seen a few other posts in various forums that are similar to mine but no straight answers for my situation. I'm trying to do due diligence to research and do this as right as I can . Here's my current situation; we are in the final stages of replacing a SBS 2003 server with several new servers. All the combined SBS roles have been delegated to new servers (separately). The only roles currently running on the SBS box is DC, DNS, DHCP, AD, GC. All the other roles are now on the following new servers and are working perfectly: Physical Server2012DC (to become a physical DC with all 5 FSMO roles) also runs fax server (Virtual servers below are iSCSI connected to EqualLogic iSAN Virtual Server2012RDS runs RDWeb Apps. Virtual Server2008R2EXCH runs Exchange Server 2010 SP3 (just upgraded to be compatible with server 2012 DC) Virtual Server2012SHARE houses network shares Physical Server2012 Virtual Server2012SP runs SQL Server 2012 with SharePoint 2013 as a single server install (fully supported) Virtual Server2012 to be a failover Virtual DC As you can see, at this stage I just need to promote the DC roles to the physical server 2012. I've found Tech Net articles about SBS to 2012 Essentials and some that mention 2003 to 2012 with discussions around Adprep Like these: http://technet.microsoft.com/library/jj200112 and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd464018(v=ws.10).aspx Can I just install the server roles on the 2012 box and the wizards handle most the heavy lifting with basic configurations to be tweaked afterwards? I would appreciate a little feedback and some guidance. I don't want to experiment too far at this point since everything is working so great.
