I have a problem with the external hard drives that were used as backups.
Last week I setup 2 external hard drives as backup destinations. (Drive_01 & Drive_02)
A full backup was run and it used Drive_02, no data written to Drive_01.
I removed Drive_02 from the backup destinations so the next backups would go to Drive_01, and proceeded to search for external hard drive synchronization applications.
A few hours after the backup completed, the ZeroAccess incident occured.
Based on recommendations received in this forum, I did a full backup (the corrupted SBS 2011 system) to Drive_01, and planned to copy user data to a third external hard drive this morning. This has been done - no issues.
Booting from the SBS 2011 installation DVD, and then loading the drivers for the USB 3.0 card, the system only recognizes the *bad system* full backup on Drive_01, it doesn't see the *good system* backup I want to restore from Drive_02.
If I go to the Command Prompt (from the Repair selection), I can navigate to both external hard drives. The WindowsImageBackup folder is in the root of each drive (G: and H:). How do I get the system to recognize the backup on Drive_02 (G:)?
Thanks.
Mike
