As part of our server upgrade from SBS 2003 to Windows Server 2012 one of the steps that has been requested is to turn off the 'offline files' function. We use folder redirection for all our users which is controlled via a GP. When I disable offline files on a test system a pop up appears on the page below the taskbar.
some library features are unavailable due to unsupported library locations
Is this message due to the server location being Windows 2003 and not having file indexing? Read a few posts about this but have not located a suitable response. Looking for some insight before disabling offline files on all my users PC's.
