We currently have a Windows SBS 2011 Standard Server.
It is running on a HP server with a Intel Xeon E5504 2.00GHz with 24GB RAM.
We are backing up 470GB Data which is taking nearly 10 Hours. This is backing up onto a Seagate 1TB Portable hard drive.
We have one small VM running and no other third party backup applications.
This backup has been running succefully for nearly a year and now it is throwing up a lot of errors and taking nearly double the length of time to run. Nothing has changed that could of affected this. Some days it will run but take a long time and others it will just fail with errors like; A Volume Shadow Copy service operation failed.
We have tried all the obvious e.g. re-creating backup task, changing time backup runs, rebooting server but still no luck.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
