I am having trouble after running WIndows updates on an SBS 2011 server.
I now can't complete the process of adding a new domain user. As stated in the title things go fine when the user is created but when the console wizard comes to the point of creating a mailbox and sending a welcome message to the new user the message"Unexpected error occurred" pops up.
Additionally, when I opened the Exchange Management Console I get the following message: "The attempt to connect to http://exchange.domain.com/PowerShell using "Kerberos" authentication failed: Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request. Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: “winrm quickconfig”. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic."
Given the fact that this occurred immediately after rebooting post-windows update, we thought it may be a bad update and indeed found that KB2506143 causes a similar problem. However this update had not been applied so we can't simply uninstall an update unless there is another one we are unaware of at this point.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this issue. We need to add some new users in the days ahead and they would like to have their mailboxes working.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
