I used to be able to launch remote desktop on the internet from the remote.servername.com website, but now when I click the button, nothing happens. After coming back to the intranet, I could RDP in, and in eventviewer I saw an event (I paraphrase) that since free memory was less than 5% remote sesion could not be started.
Since this used to work normally, and nothing significant has been changed, I wondered what might have changed. It's an 8 GB RAM system, and at the time it would have been running typical SBS stuff: IIS, sharepoint, exchange and SBS console. I ran memory diagnostics, which found the RAM working normally.
So, how to solve this? I'm hoping to correspond with a technician to narrow down and fix the cause of this - perhaps some unknown process that is consuming memory. Please let me know any tests to run to identify and address this problem.
