Hi all,
I just want to ask if 100% accurate all info i read in forums? This regards to RDS features of Windows SBS 2011.
We have server running Windows SBS 2011 Standard here in Bahrain we have 2 branches in Saudi Arabia 1 in Dammam and the other 1 in Al Khobar, now these 2 branches my we want them to connect to our server here in Bahrain for the main purpose of Peachtree Accounting (Sage50 2013 Accounting) that is also the sole purpose of our server here only for Peachtree Database, I add the RDS role in the role manager of the windows sbs 2011 and i already configure it. I tried to connect from my home in our server in the office using RDS with limited user access rights and permission so and i could run the Peachtree program by the way i'm using 1 of the 2 free built-in CAL of RDS in the windows. Our company branches in Saudi will use 5 to 6 person for the 2 branch now my questions is if we will purchase additional CALs we will never face any problems since we are using Windows SBS 2011 Standard edition? I saw from other forums that to be able to use or operate properly the Remote Desktop Services features of MS Windows SBS 2011 we need Windows SBS 2011 Premium/Add-ons is this reliably correct? Do we need to upgrade our version of windows from standard to premium? Please, I need a response immediately. Thank you and God bless...
