On a Win 7 Pro machine I have a Vs2008 project that fails to compile with cdosys.tlh errors. The same project compiles and runs fine on another identical machine. When I compared the version of CDOSYS.dll in the system32 and syswow64 folders
on the two system the broken compiler had ver 6.6.7601.17514 dated 11/20/2010 10:24pm and on the machines that doesn't get the cdosys.dll compile errors the version is 6.6.7600.16385 dated 7/13/2009 9:15pm.
I then tried to copy over from the working machine the older version of cdosys.dll but when I went to rename the existing new version I get a popup msg that says "You require permission from a TrustedInstaller of this program". So I can't
get the older version on the sysem. How can I rename this file or uninstall it?
I think that this version diffference is the cause my my compile errors. How can I remove/rename the new cdosys.dll from my system and install the older version? Where did it come from and what is the TrustedInstaller for it?
Any helpwith this is appreciated.
Thanks
