I have SBS2008 std and would like to achieve the following using outlook 2007. To be able to retrieve email on a notebook that connects both to the local domain and externally, seamlessly.
When the notebook is used in the office, it connects via a network cable on the local domain to receive emails from the SBS2008 server. These emails are viewed in outlook 2007 in the domain user’s account. This works well.
When the notebook is not on the domain a wireless 3G connection is made. The email is viewed usinghttps://remote.mydomain.com/owa . This works fine. In this case one can only view the emails. Is there a way to bring new emails (pop) directly into the domain user’s account in outlook 2007?
IPhones also receive emails from this server without a problem.
Effectively, I would like to be able to display internally and externally accessed emails in a single domain account residing on the notebook with minimal change to Outlook each time mail is retrieved. I hope that my request is understandable.
