Hi

A previously connected win 7 pro pc stopped accessing shared drives from SBS 2008. Having disconnected the pc from domain it cannot see the SBS 2008 Server anymore. Trying to connect to domain it says;

An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain "mydomain.local" could not be contacted.

Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly.

Note: This information is intended for a network administrator. If you are not your network's administrator, notify the administrator that you received this information, which has been recorded in the file C:\Windows\debug\dcdiag.txt.

An error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate an Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for domain "mydomain.local".

The error was: "No DNS servers configured for local system."
(error code 0x0000267C DNS_ERROR_NO_DNS_SERVERS)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.mydomain.local

Having 'upgrade' repaired the Win 7 made no effect. IPCONFIG/ALL output below. The pc can ping SBS 2008 through ip but not via server name.

How can I fix this issue please?

Thanks

Regards
