Hi All
I have an SBS 2008 server that needs its third party certificate renewed. The trouble seems to be that the SBS Wizard only generates a 1024 bit key when our SSL provider (Geotrust) will only supply SSL certifcates in 2048 bits.
In fact Microsoft themselves will no longer support 1024 bit SSL certificates beyond 2012.
At the moment I have a third party certificate that expires shortly and want to buy another one to replace it. So I am looking for the best way to renew this SSL Certificate, if not through the wizard, then somewhere else. I just dont want to stuff anything up with OWA or RWW. I have seen some articles mention creating the SSL request in IIS and then attaching it to Exchange through the PS console, but like I say, I just want to be sure of the correct procedure.
Any help appreciated..........
