SBS 2011 RDP SSL certificate problem

Trying to troubleshoot a problem from a previous tech,

RDP does not work to an SBS 2011 machine.  If I mstsc /v "servername or IP" I get:

"your remote desktop connection failed, because the remote computer cannot be authenticated. "

"Certificate Name -> Name in the certificate from the remote computer: *.customerdomain.tld"

"Certificate errors -> ..errors were encountered while validating...:  The certificate is not valid for this usage"

I get the feeling the remote desktop roles were installed and someone messed around with them.

Following the ONLY guide I can find,  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2472211

I'm supposed to "ensure I never click yes". I suspect the previous tech did click yes.  If I attempt to set the reg keys as mentioned in that article,  I get "syntax error" with no helpful details.

How do I replace the certificate correctly with ANYTHING that will allow me to RDP to the machine.  VNC just ain't going to cut it forever. :P
