Hello everyone. I’m looking for some help. We take care of a lot of SBS servers for our clients. We recently acquired a new client that had an existing server running SBS2008 (SBS2008 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP1). This server and network were setup by a prior consulting firm, who is no longer involved. There are a number of issues that we have come across – many of which we have solved, a few of which we have never seen before and are stumped.
I’m making a separate post for each problem. This is problem #1 - Problems with SBS Console
When clicking around the SBS console, on various screens, the popup message “The Windows SBS Console feature is not setup correctly”
When I select the Users and Groups -> Users tab, I get that popup message, and then the text “No users exist” is displayed in the grid.
When I select the Users and Groups -> Groups tab, I get that popup message, and then the text “No groups exist” is displayed in the grid.
When I select the Network tab, the text “Servers (0) and Client Computers (0) and Unable to query for computers in the network” is displayed in the grid.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot or solve the problem with the SBS Console?
Thanks in advance.
