I've been browsing all over the internet looking and have found some answers to similar questions, but none that really confirm what I'm trying to do is possible, so here's my situation:
We have a network of approximately 70 users and 30 printers. We are currently using SBS 2003 SP2. Because of the lack of organization and mis-configuration of GPOs on the SBS, I have built an Enterprise 2003 R2 server from scratch, and will be moving the users to it when we move to a new building in the next couple of months. I would like to convert the SBS server to a standard 2003 server and use it as a secondary DC on the new domain. My main question is:
Would I be able to use the SBS 2003 R2 transition pack to upgrade my SBS 2003 SP2 to a standard server, and could I then use it as a backup DC on the domain?
