A client has an SBS 2011 VM machine on which SharePoint is not being used. The application is causing all sorts of problems with a granular backup service and we would like to disable it as it will never be deployed. It would also be handy to free up some system resources as well. Other posts on this topic are unclear on the correct steps.
- Is matter of disabling services and if so, which ones?
- Can we safely uninstall the product or is this deemed unadvisable due to the nature of SBS? If we can are there any caveats here?
