. Outlook is connected to an on-prem Exchange server.
2. After upgrading Outlook from version 1908 to 2002
It does not store email addresses in the cache. Next time we start to write an email, it is not in the cache.
When sending from version 1908 and opening Outlook via web, the email address is cached. When sending from Outlook 2002, opening Outlook via web, that email address is not in the cache.
The auto complete feature is enabled. This problem is for everyone in the company, and it happened after we upgraded Outlook. The users use a Citrix server, so they all use the same outlook version.
However, because this is on a terminal server, and the user has very limited access, this must be performed on the “golden image”. Is it possible to perform the changes in more controlled fasion? To do the steps manually? This is a very controlled environment, where all changes are pushed out via Golden images.
Hello,
When I try to connect a client computer to SBS2011 with http://connect, I get the following runtime error.
It says the assembly is build with a newer runtime. How can I get it working again?

I am stumped on this one and I can't seem to find anything similar posted.
When I run the PSCONFIG I get the following:

SBS 2011 Standard, Single server
Thanks,
Hello,
A customer is running Windows Small Business 2011 Standard.
I am unable to connect using Remote Web Workspace to any workstations (or server). I do see the list of available machines. However, when attempting to connect, I receive the following error:
Remote Desktop Connection
Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Remote Desktop Gateway server is temporarily unavailable. Try reconnecting later or contact your network administrator for assistance.
I have tried using different login names, with the same results. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Rudy
Good Day
I have a situation where I am trying to setup Veeam backups and I am getting the error saying it can't create a snapshot. On further investigation I realised for some reason I can't enable Shadow Copies on the volume. the volume in question is 80TB big with 55TB in use.
The error I am getting is ID 12289. I've attached the screenshot. How can I fix this?
Regards Ronnie M

Hi, All this is my first post and thanks to everyone in advanced for reading and hopefully helping me, apologies from now if I have missed any information or details in order to get help Once again thank you, everyone, time to read my post to help.
Recently we have discovered that any emails sent to @hotmail/@live/@outlook are not getting through to the recipients, checked IP address to see if there is a block on Spamhaus there was a ban which has been lifted.
All emails sent to external contacts works fine without any issues, apart from hotmail/live/outlook.
raised this with Microsoft and received the following :
"Not qualified for mitigation
188.172.154.42
Our investigation has determined that the above IP(s) do not qualify for mitigation"
also received the following email from Microsoft;
"Hello,
My name is Isaac and I work with the Outlook.com Deliverability Support Team.
We have reviewed your IP(188.172.154.42) and determined that messages are being filtered based on the recommendations of the SmartScreen® Filter.
Email filtering is based on many factors, but primarily it's due to mail content and recipient interaction with that mail. Because of the proprietary nature of SmartScreen® and because SmartScreen® Filter technology is always adapting and learning more about
what is and isn't unwanted mail, it is not possible for us to offer specific advice about improving your mail content. However, in general SmartScreen® Filter evaluates specific words or characteristics from each e-mail message and weights them, based on their
likelihood to indicate that a message is unwanted or legitimate mail.
Unfortunately, after reviewing the information you provided and in compliance with our mail policies, we are unable to offer immediate mitigation for your deliverability issue. However, we have some specific recommendations for you to consider that can help
you to improve deliverability over time.
Here are some specific recommendations for you to consider:
Brand your mail
Ensure mails are cleanly formatted and clearly identifiable as originating from your service."
I have checked PTR Records with ISP and they said they can't see why this is happening as my IP is pointing to mail.domain .com
SoI have performed a test on mailtester.com and got the following report saying
You're not fully authenticated
says message not signed with DIKM
also don't have a DMARK record
and Reverse DNS does not match with your sending domain
So I thought I'd start with the Reverse DNS not matching, and this has got me slightly confused
the report is giving the following result :
Your IP address 188.172.154.42 is associated with the domain mail.mksaccountants.co.uk.
Nevertheless your message appears to be sent from MKS-EXCH01.mksaccountants.local.
You may want to change your pointer (PTR type) DNS record and the host name of your server to the same value.
I have an Exchange 2016 server
hope I have given enough info and thank you in advanced to everyone
I am experiencing intermittent crash on Application pool IIS with the below error in application event log.
Can anyone help in regards to this issue?
Faulting application name: w3wp.exe, version: 8.5.9600.16384, time stamp: 0x5215df96So we have a ancient SBS 2011 server and to get GDPR compliant we need to have our AD/DHCP etc on a compliant server.
The SBS Server is a VM via Hyper V on a physical server host that has a spare license for Server 2016 and lots of free space/ram etc.
The old SBS 2011 server has lots of issues and furthermore then internal domain name is based on our old company name. We have another Server VM (Server 2016 standard) currently running as a basic domain connected server with just File Services role - It shares Sage Accounts data that's it!
I have tried (and failed) to migrate SBS to the Sage Server but it fails to replicate DNS , The SBS randomly crashes, AD sync is not working - Basically it was not working and the SBS if fundamentally broken. I have restored the Sage Server back to its previous file share server state.
Given the above and the fact we only have 18 users and very basic requirements (1 shared network drive , 2 security groups and no login scrips or custom GP scripts - Email already moved to O365 etc) I am tempted to use the spare Server 2016 license to spin up a fresh VM server on the host - Given it a fresh name / different internal IP address/range and setup from scratch - i.e. manually add the AD/DNS/DHCP roles and manually create the user accounts. Move the company data and redirected desktop/documents data via Robocopy. I would copy the data from the SBS Server to the Host first and after making a note of all AD user accounts etc I would demmote the SBS server and disconnect from domain leaving it just workgroup connected - I would actually then power it down - Can always be spun back up again if needed.
Then just make a note of the the current users computer settings (Sticky notes / Chrome favs etc) and drop them off the current (old) domain (all computers have local admin account setup already) and reconnect to the new domain with the newly created user accounts etc. I would make sure that GP is set to point DESKTOP and DOCUMENTS to previously copied data from SBS, I would also have added a DNS redirect on new PDC DNS settings to say "SBSSERVER = IP OF NEW SERVER" so that any Excel/word/shortcuts etc that reference the old server i.e. "\\SBSServer\COMPANY\WORD DOC.docx" goes to the same location on the new server - I could always just add a entry in the computer host file as an option too.
I know the above is a long winded approach but my thinking is that the new setup would ensure that no crap is replicated from the old server and no reference to old internal domain / incorrect DNS etc is copied over.
My questions are given the above:
1. Would creating a new VM Server 2016 with a completely different IP to SBS allow me to start the process of configuring it without screwing up the current environment (For example SBS is on 10.0.0.2 but I would set new Server on 192.168.10.2)?
2. Would my above process actually work i.e. is my logic valid?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
Hello,
I have set up a test network to plan for moving my client from SBS 2011 to Server 2016 with Exchange 2016. I have been using the guides from SBS Susan that points to Techgenix as well as a similar guide on MSExpertTalk. Everything has been going fine until I get to the "Update the internal DNS record to point to the Exchange 2016 server". Both guides have me change the autodiscover and mail record on the DNS server to point to the new Exchange 2016 server. The issue I am running into is there are no mail or autodiscover records in the DNS server pointing to the Exchange 2010 server to update. The instructions I am following are for moving a 2010 Exchange server that is not part of SBS, so I am assuming there is something a little different in SBS and are stored elsewhere?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
John
